On Sunday 15 August 2010, streets in the Hainault area (including the Redbridge Cycling Centre) will be closed to motor traffic to make way for the Redbridge Skyride.
Anyone with a bicycle (or even on foot or skates) is invited to enjoy the 'car-freedom', and soak up the atmosphere on the day.
If you live further afield, don’t worry because LCC is running guided rides to the event, departing at 10:30am from Harold Wood station, Barking Park, West Ham Park and Walthamstow Central, with return rides leaving the event at 3pm.
Register for a guided ride here
To register for a guided ride go here. LCC will have a stall on the route near Barkingside station where you can pick up advice and information about rides and campaigns. Do come and see us for a chat and information.
Do you want to be a marshal?
We are still looking for volunteer marshals for the guided rides. If you're an experienced cyclist and you'd like to be involved on the day please register here here.
It's a great way to meet like-minded cyclists and you’ll have access to a priority area with food, drink and cycle parking plus other goodies.
For more information about the event, call LCC on 020 7234 9310 or contact your local group here.
