In line with LCC lobbying, the number of carfree cycling events in London is growing from two to three, with one happening in central London and two in as-yet-unnamed London boroughs.

Last year, the Skyride events in central London and Hounslow attracted 60,000 and 10,000 people respectively.

LCC lobbying helped created the original carfree event, Freewheel, which took place in 2007 and 2008 before it was rebranded Skyride in 2009.

Last year, LCC led 3500 people from the suburbs to the central London event with over 60 guided rides.
