Ann Kenrick OBE has been elected chair of the London Cycling Campaign board of trustees.
Ann (pictured above) is Secretary-General of the Franco-British Council and lives in Camberwell, South London, with her family.
She takes over after four years’ exemplary service from outgoing chair Andy Cawdell.
Ann said, "The board extends its heartfelt thanks to Andy for all his efforts.
"I'm privileged and proud to be elected chair of LCC at such an exciting time for London cycling.
"I hope my experience as a working professional and a parent will help us to advance LCC's mission to make our city safe and inviting for everyone to cycle."
Rik Andrew, who became a trustee in November 2011, was asked by the other trustees to leave the board with immediate effect following irreconcilable differences.
Andy Cawdell, outgoing LCC chair, said, "Rik is a passionate campaigner with a relentless and energetic focus on cycling safety.
"He'll now have the space to pursue his goals without constraint - we wish him well and thank him for his efforts."
The recent board elections saw the LCC board composed of 50% women for the first time in its history.
