Bikeworks and Barclays combine to screen short film at 2012 Bicycle Film Festival
The Bicycle Film Festival returns to the Barbican on 4-7 October, with a mix of quirky, imaginative and inspirational cycling films.
As part of the festival Barclays is screening a new short film 'Cycle into Work' showcasing the community programme in action
In November 2011, Barclays announced its support for the programme, which is run by the award-winning social enterprise and former CCFL project, Bikeworks.
By helping disadvantaged young people gain key skills in bicycle building and maintenance, the initiative increases their opportunities to find employment.
The inspiring short film follows the lives of three individuals to show how ‘Cycle into Work’ changed their lives for the better.
We’ve got five pairs of exclusive tickets to the premiere and reception, hosted by TV presenter and Barclays cycling ambassador Christine Bleakley on 2 October, to give away to LCC supporters.
To enter just email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and the title ‘Barclays competition’, by end of Thursday 27th September. Five winners will be selected at random and notified on Friday 28th September.
Bikeworks also has a shop staffed by some of the participants Cycle into Work’ in Bethnal Green.
