Charity cycle - LCC members and community groups wanted to join in

In a bid to raise money for McMillan Cancer Support and for Help for Heroes, 10 cyclists are covering 1,000 miles visiting 100 sports clubs on the way. The group will start from Glasgow on 14th October with at least 2 cyclists on the road at any given time during the ride.

The charity ride will cover Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Newport, Bristol, and London to name just a few. The ride is scheduled to finish with a 3-day leg in London on 24th October.

The general public is free to join the ride on the last two days when the organisers are planning to attract over 150 participating cyclists to cover the last 40 miles. LCC is also inviting its members and community cycling projects to take part, either as a group or as an individual. Use the form below to contact the community team for more details.

Special attractions on the final two days are going to be the 2012 Velodrome where some of the Olympics cyclists will join the ride, and Wembley stadium to meet the FA.
