Cycling in the Capital Celebrated at the London Cycling Awards

On Wednesday 16th July 2014 the fantastic rise in the popularity of cycling was celebrated by the London Cycling Awards. Now in its second year, the event organised by the London Cycling Campaign saw movers and shakers from all areas of cycling come together to see the best in their field crowned and commemorated for contributions made over the last twelve months.

Hosted by broadcaster and keen cyclist, Jeremy Vine, the ceremony in central London was separated into two parts - the Consumer Award categories commended excellence among brands, events and cycle champions, whilst the Project Awards honoured initiatives and individuals within the cycling community. Thousands of people voted for their favourites in the Consumer Awards whilst the Project Awards were judged by a panel of cycling experts.

Packed to the rafters with enthusiastic bicycle lovers, it was a delight to see a breadth of people join together for 'all things' cycling.

London Cycling Campaign would like to say a big congratulations to our winners and finalists, and of course, thank you, to everyone who made the event possible including: sponsors, supporters, suppliers, staff, our members, our board of trustees, everyone who voted, guests, winners, finalists, Jeremy Vine, Me for Queen, our venue: St. Martin in the Fields, Ivan Coleman (photographer) and anyone in London who gets on their bike and loves it as much as we all do!
