'Get Cycling' sessions for adults and all ability cycling
Since 2008, EcoLocal has helped hundreds of people from Sutton to become more confident cyclists and improve their cycling skills.
EcoLocal is offering access to cycling for those who were previously excluded and promotes cycling as an enjoyable form of exercise in a safe environment.
Regular sessions are held at Sutton Arena and include off-road cycling and a range of bikes to accommodate everyone to have a go. For more details download the Ecolocal pdf via the link on the right.
EcoLocal’s cycles range from two-wheelers, accessible trikes, two Duets that enable those who are wheel chair users to experience being on a cycle, side-by-sides for those who want to ride together, as well as tandems and even a unicycle for the adventurous.
The project was launched in summer 2008 in response to a demand from the local community for better access to cycling activities in the London Borough of Sutton.
From there, the project developed and expanded quickly and extended its services to include cycling for the over 50s from April 2009.
Inclusive cycling roadshow
Ecolocal will be providing an inclusive cycling roadshow for families with disabled children at the Phoenix Centre, Mollison Drive, Roundshow in Wallington on 6th March (10am - 3pm).
