Getting across the Thames

Crossing the Thames with a bike Credit: Pollards Hill Cyclists

A very pleasant option to cycling across Thames bridges or taking the foot tunnels at Greenwich or Woolwich is to take one of the ferries. London River Services have a downloadable pack of maps, timetables and contacts for ferry services in London: call the operator of the service you are intending to use to make sure that bicycles are allowed. Find it on the River section of the TfL website (follow the link on the right) or call 020 722 1234.
