You're invited to join in the floral bicycle parade around the Southbank Centre on Sunday 28 August 2011.
You can flower-theme your bike, clothing and accessories before you arrive, or visit one of the bike decoration stations when you arrive, where your bike will be transformed before your eyes.
The parade is part of Mayor’s Story of London Festival and recreates the floral bicycle parade that took place in Haringey for the Festival of Britain in 1951.
Cyclists travelling from Haringey are invited to lead the parade from Bruce Castle Museum, starting at 2pm, to the Southbank where they will join other cyclists on a circuit around the Southbank Centre.
Bike decoration stations will be on the High Street (Level 1 outside Royal Festival Hall) from 2pm till 4pm.
The main Floral Bicycle Parade starts at 4pm at the Southbank Centre Square doors to Royal Festival Hall.
