Hand Cyclists Race at Tour of Britain - 12pm Sunday 4th September
This Sunday 4th September sees the Tour of Britain come to London for the finale of the six day event.
The main race starts at 3.15 pm and will see 96 cyclists race the circuit around Whitehall.
Prior to the main race there are a selection of other events. At 12 pm a six lap race of the circuit by hand cyclists from the UK and Europe will take place. Some of the top competitors are coming to London take part and highlight their exceptional sport.
David Abrutat of the UK Hand Cyclist Association says:
“Handcycling is a very new sport but it is growing into a phenomenal worldwide sport and events like this will have a huge impact on the public’s perception of disability sport.”
Viewing point - Trafalgar Square
There will be an accessible viewing point on the west side of Whitehall near the north (Trafalgar Square) end. There will be marshals to direct people to this area so please ask upon arrival. Accessible toilets will be located on Trafalgar Square.
