As a result to changes governing which organisations can become charities LCC is now in a position to apply for charity status. This is exciting news as it could bring many benefits to LCC and its members.
These benefits include ehancing our reputation as the lead cycling organisation in London; enjoying the financial benefits open to charities such as the ability to claim gift aid on donations; being able to apply for funding that is restricted to registered charities and being able to offer all these benefits and more to our local groups.
LCC is holding an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) at 6.30 pm on 4 July at the LCC offices (see bottom of page for details) for members to vote on this proposal. Members can use the postal voting form in the current London Cyclist magazine or book a place at the meeting. You can download a copy of the revised memorandum and articles with a summary of the key changes on the right. Postal votes must be received at the LCC office by 20th June.
