LCC encourages students to get on their bikes with autumn university cycle promotion events

This autumn we're visiting universities all over Greater London to help encourage students and staff cycle in London. So whether you’re new to the city or an experienced cyclist looking to freshen up your skills, we’re here to help you.

If you’ve got a bike, then bring it down for a FREE health check by our mechanics, or consult one of qualified cycle trainers to boost your cycling technique. If you don’t have a bike, then we have some you can try out on the day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to try out cycling in London with your friends and colleagues.

These events are part of a programme across London funded by Transport for London and delivered by LCC. Contact us via Iwanttoridemybicycle@lcc.org.uk or check for updates on Facebook and Twitter

Really good to see you at Middlesex University last week. A great initiative and hope you get lots more members.

The event held at University of Roehampton as part of our Fresher's Week was a big success. At least 30 bikes were health checked by the very helpful mechanics. Thank you very much to them and everyone else involved. We'd love to be able to repeat the initiative on a regular basis. Jonathan Horner, Environmental Manager.

This is an excellent initiative. Would be great to see events at further education institutions as well, such as Lambeth College and City Lit. Or maybe they are in the pipeline already? Thanks!
