Camden’s Cycling Champion, Cllr Paul Braithwaite, sent us this incredible photo from the Cape Town Argus, the largest timed race in the world, as he was pictured crossing the top of Chapman's Peak.
With over 35,000 entrants, it was fantastic to see this London cyclist flying the London Cycling Campaign flag, wearing our cycling jersey with pride for the 109 km course.
Paul described the experience as “THE most beautiful mass ride in the world” and on closed roads the whole way, which he found “a joy”.
This year's race entrants confronted tough side winds but the temperature was kind, at about 72 degrees.
Cllr Braithwaite added: “Cape Town is a buzzing, burgeoning city right now and seemingly fitness crazy. The residents actually celebrate cyclists!”
Congratulations Paul on completing the spectacular ride.
Manufactured by designer cycle-wear brand Milltag, LCC’s clothing collection is based around a geometrical pattern using our logo. They are visible, stylish and flattering and made from a highly technical sports fabric that encourages wicking to keep you dry and cool.
Each jersey features a full-length front zip and gummed elasticated hem, so the jersey stays in place. The rear pockets (one zipped) are angled to allow easier access on the move.
