Druid Cycles in SE1 have launched a mobile bicycle repair patrol. The service dubbed ‘Cycle SOS’ sent its first two mechanics out on 3rd August.
A crew of four mechanics are operating in pairs and are riding one of Druid Cycles’ conspicuous refurbished post bikes called Europe, America, Australia and Africa.
Currently, mechanics do call outs and onside road repairs in an area stretching from the Rotherhithe Tunnel to Southwark Bridge Road and towards the Oval and Vauxhall Station.
Thor Bard, owner of Druid Cycles, said: 'Our mobile repair service will keep people on the road and we're looking forward to expand our services.'
The outfit take calls from 10am in the morning and are operating the roadside service between 4pm and 8pm.
