The mayor should stop the second trial
allowing motorbikes in some bus lanes because the results from the first trial showed that it increased road danger for motorcyclists and cyclists.
Bus lanes were introduced by former Mayor Ken Livingstone, and have played a significant role in providing fast, safer, direct routes through London, largely free of fast-moving traffic.
The final report into the safety of the trial showed significant increases in risk to motorcyclists.
Instead of abandoning the trial, however, the mayor ordered a second trial for 18 months.
