Surely there is not a more appropriate way to get to Olympic cycle events than by bike. Here a list of events and details including cycle parking locations:
Venue: The Mall to Box Hill
Dates: 28th July (men); 29th July (women)
The road races are free to watch aside from ticketed compounds at The Mall (the start/finish) and at specified viewing areas at Box Hill. Supervised cycle parking will be provided at The Mall and in Green Park , at Donkey Green near Box Hill (for ticket holders) and at Ryka’s Meadow (for non-ticketed spectators).Road closures will precede the events, so you will need to check on the London2012 website and use the date slider to find out the situation on the day.
You also view from the Molesey Boat Club. This friendly rowing club is not only situated a few hundred yards from Hampton Court, so great for the Time Trials (see below) on Wednesday, August 1st, but is also off Hurst Road, the route of the Road Race itself. It will also be showing the rowing on the TVs of course, in which MBC has 8 participants!
Feel free to store your bikes in the club’s boat yard, or even potentially the ground floor gym, then watch the excitement unfold live as the bikes hurtle by, and then the races on the TVs in the club bar, where food will also be served. Everyone is welcome, non-MBC members, friends, families and colleagues.
Venue: Hampton Court Palace
Dates: 1st August
The time trials will be ticketed in two areas but otherwise free to watch. There will be cycle parking at Hampton Court Green. Remember that the route is closed off when the race is taking place.
Venue: Hadleigh Farm, Essex
Dates: 11-12th August
Nearest train station is Leigh on Sea; cycle parking will be available on site

Both the Velodrome and BMX track are in the north of the Olympic park, half an hour’s walk from cycle parking at Victoria Park (near Mark's Gate /Cadogan Terrace) or the South Transport Hub (in Abbey Lane Park) , or a shorter walk from the North Transport hub (Eton Manor Transport Hub -access from Hackney Marsh side).
Paralympic road races
Venue: Brands Hatch
Dates: 5th-8th September
Cycle parking will be available at the site. Nearest rail station is Sevenoaks.
For those of us without tickets to the Olympic cycling events there is still the option of watching them in the company of thousands of others at the half dozen ‘Live Sites’. Supervised cycle parking will be available at Victoria Park (next to St Mark's Gate near Cadogan Terrace/ Jodrell Road =- open 24 hoursw with free bike service during daytime) and there are several parking locations near the Live Sites at Hyde Park and Trafalgar Square (details here). At the Live Sites in Waltham Forest, Canary Wharf and Woolwich Arsenal you can keep your bike with you. At Potters Field (next to City Hall) parking arrangements have not been confrimed - there are some bike stands in Weavers Lane.
