Pedal Power Kennington is a young community project based in the Lilian Baylis Community Hub in Lollard Street, Kennington, providing a range of cycling activities for young people and adults.
The project was set up with funding from Transport for London to promote school pupils travelling by bike and is working with the Sports Action Zone and Lambeth Safer Transport Team.
Local residents can join in a group ride, fix their bike in the workshop, or go to one of the maintenance courses.
Activities are free or as cheap as possible and pedal power welcome volunteers getting involved to help deliver rides and other events and help out in the workshop.
Forthcoming events include picnic rides to Hyde Park and Horniman Gardens and Museum, while in the Autumn half-term 40 pupils will cycle to Arsenal for a free site tour courtesy of the club. Keep an eye on the website for future event details.
