In the event of a "total loss" the insurance contract is at an end. A new premium must then be paid to insure the replacement cycle.
Your cycle must be kept a secure environment and be locked to an immovable solid object when left in a public place. Cycle racks on vehicle are not deemed to be substantial solid immovable objects. Cycles left in parked vehicles are not covered unless it can be shown that the cycle was in a locked boot or enclosed windowless compartment of a locked vehicle, completely obscured from view. Machines must be kept in a secured building, but not a communal entrance or hallway, and not left in the open overnight.
Cover is restricted to non-occupational use only, although commuting to work is covered.
Underwriters reserve the right to replace or reinstate the insured cycle where appropriate.
