The Scoot Beginner balance bike does exactly what it suggests by helping children from 18-months-old learn to balance a bike by walking astride the low standover frame. Children then quickly progress to sitting on the saddle and scooting along, without pedals getting in the way.
When they move to a pedal cycle there’ll be no need for stabilisers as balance and steering will be second nature. The inclusion of a V-brake means that they also understand slowing down.
The Scoot has an alloy frame, bold colours (pink, blue, green), quick running tyres and a saddle with grab-handle for runaway moments or easy portage.
PROS: attention to detail
CONS: heavier than some others
