Skyride to coincide with the end of Ramadan
The 2009 London Skyride falls on the same day as Eid Ul-Fitr, the Muslim celebration that marks the end of Ramadan during which people fast. Traditionally the day is spent with family and friends eating special dishes, wearing new clothes, and sharing gifts.
If you are celebrating Eid Ul-Fitr and would like to take part in this year's Skyride, why not bring along friends and family, neighbours and acquaintances and even a special dish.
The London Cycling Campaign is inviting all community groups to participate in this year’s biggest and best mass cycling event and we will be providing all attendees with refreshments at the London Cycling Campaign stall.
If you want to come along, let us know. Tell us how you intend to celebrate and why not use this opportunity to educate others about your culture and celebrations.
Help us make this year’s Skyride the best event yet and be part of London’s cycling revolution.
