London Cycling Campaign is delighted to announce that the Tweed Run has selected the organisation to be its designated charity for the event on Saturday 17th May, 2014.
Following the incredible success of its fifth birthday ride in 2013, where 500 dapper gents and lovely ladies turned out in their finest attire and took to two wheels, the event will build on its success in 2014 with another glorious amble through London's streets, all in the name of Tweed!
Dubbed "A Metropolitan Cycle Ride With a Bit of Style", Saturday 17th May will see chic cyclists embark on a route through the capital, beginning from one of Central London's most beautiful courtyards and taking in some of the city's most-loved landmarks and hidden gems, before retiring with a glass of fizz and an early evening knes-up in a Clerkenwell locale.
The Tweed Run is an iconic and unforgettable event - priced at a modest £20, with £10 donated to yours truly. The 500 sought-after places will go on sale from midday on Monday 17th March, so make sure you wind-up your pocket watch to be in with a chance of being there. Tickets are available to buy online from http://tickets.tweedrun.com
Whilst classic bicycles are not essential, they are encouraged, and all riders should respect the vintage theme and dress to impress.
