The Tweed Run cycle ride will take place on 10 April 2010, bringing a touch of sartorial elegance to London's streets for the second year running

The ride departs from Central London at midday, on a 12-mile route passing Buckingham Palace, Savile Row, St Paul’s, ending in the City of London (near Bishopsgate).

"Tweed suits, plus fours, bowties, cycling capes and jaunty flat caps are all encouraged," says the website, with "No beastly denim."

LCC board member Oliver Schick said, "All 400 registrations were snapped up within hours, and it's shaping up to be a roaring success again.

"We hope our offer of three-months free membership to participants will help strengthen LCC's campaign base this year."

Anyone interested in volunteering on the day should contact the organisers via their website, Tweed Run.
