If you are finding it impossible to park your bike near your tube or train station then you may end up lobbying your local authority, the train operating company or London Underground to put in more cycle parking. The local authority might be able to install cycle parking in a convenient location nearby, but you may find that the train operating company or London Underground manages the surrounding land.
A station may be used for both tube and rail access, however you will find that one company will manage the station. Speak to the station manager as your first point of contact, you may then need to write to the train operating company to discuss the possibilities.

The London Borough of Waltham Forest installed secure cycle parking in order to tackle the high level of cycle theft in the area. The bike shed has a personalised locking system, using a smartcard.
