London disability cycling charity Wheels for Wellbeing have reached the final of the 'Best Sports Project' category on the National Lottery Draw Show, 8.15pm on BBC1 this Saturday.
We're urging you to vote (it takes 10 secs) for this fabulous outfit, which has grown with the help of grants handed out by our Cycling Projects team on behalf of the mayor's Community Cycling Fund for London.
LCC staff member Jim Bush, who lost a leg in a climbing accident in New Zealand, is a regular volunteer with Wheels For Wellbeing's Croydon group:
"The charity's fleet of over 100 bicycles has enabled more than 600 disabled people to be physically active in the outdoors at weekly sessions over the last year.
"Wheels for Wellbeing makes a real difference to people’s lives, giving them belief in their own ability and improving their mental and physical health through cycling."
The winner of the National Lottery Sports Project, decided by public vote, will go through to a special star-studded televised final later in the year.
Voting is open until 28 October 2012.
