360 cyclists but no Superhighway for the Old Kent Road

360 cyclists recorded in the 7.30-9.00 commuter period recently at the start of the Old Kent Road, probably more as one gets closer to London, seems incredible that there are no plans to encourage cycling by installing a SuperHighway up this major route.

“Thank you also for your comments about cycling along New Cross Road.
We have made a careful note of your concerns and will continue to monitor safety here.
We currently have no plans to install a cycle lane in the area you describe, as it would not be compatible with the design in place.
Please be assured that a full safety audit was conducted on the scheme prior to its implementation, and it did not raise any safety concerns for cyclists in this area."
