For two days running there have been stray "safety cones" in fact CAUSING a hazard in the underpass where Victoria Embankment (eastbound) crosses under the Blackfriar's Bridge. These cones have been left in the carriageway rather than being appropriately stored when not in use.
The irony is deep, when tools meant to be used to improve safety are mismanaged to the point that they primarily serve to CREATE A HAZARD.
There's four stray copies of this post in the forum - like cones all over the carriageway! Sorry to be flippant Stily - just can't help meself!! I genuinely enjoy reading your posts so I do .... Don't be stopping now .... :-)
Not sure what happened there with the multiple posts! But yes, just like the cones left to lurk in the dark underpass waiting for unsuspecting cyclists to come along! I've just discovered the "other tunnel" in that location; who knew? A much safer option, it would seem. There should be a sign.........

Okay, so it's been a week and these offending cones are STILL roaming this underpass at Blackfriars, so I've just re-posted a request to TFL that they have the site policed. We'll see.
