Collision Statistics for the Borough of Richmond

As part of our efforts to get the council to focus on improving cyclist safety, we've obtained a map which outlines every collision involving a cyclist in the borough since 2006. It makes interesting reading and we'll be using it to put pressure on the council to focus on improving these areas rather than the ad hoc approach currently applied:

It is interesting to note that the areas where we've previously reported the police handing out the highest number of tickets for pavement cycling also align with the areas with the most collisions occur - perhaps a more proactive approach on safety rather than ticketing would be more productive.
