Cycle Superhighway Count Shows 33% Increase

A recent count of cyclists using the riverside Cycle Superhighway showed a 33% increase over 2011. The results also represent more than a five-fold increase over the first count in 1999.

The count was conducted between 8am and 9am at the junction of Grosvenor Road with Lupus Street on a sunny morning in early September. It shows that, whatever its shortcomings, the Cycle Superhighway has attracted users.
