Report on the progress of CTC charity application 2012 Jan 6.doc
Thank you for your offer of help in this matter I have given below short version with link and suggestions of how CTC members can help.
Thank you again
Dear CTC Members
You may remember at CTC AGM 2011 A motion was passed that stated “This AGM authorises Council to take the steps necessary to register the Club as a charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and to merge the Club with CTC Charitable Trust to become a single, charitable organisation.”

This email that rejected the application for CTC charitable status in England and Wales it was received by CTC Headquarters on 18th October 2011.
It would appear to me that the rejection confirms most of the objections many of us raised when conversion was proposed.
These objections were dismissed my our CEO and members of Council.
The rejection raises many issues and is far more serious than stated in the article in the recent "Cycle"
I am concerned that CTC's membership have been misled.
I am also concerned that this whole sorry matter has cost a lot of money and effort.
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
