South West Trains fails Surbiton commuters

The secure cycle compounds, accessed by swipe-card, at Surbiton Station have been neglected by South West Trains. They are not used to capacity and are overgrown with weeds! This points to neglect by South West Trains.

Despite the fact that even on a week day some areas are no more that 50% full, South West Trains refuses to issue passes to any of the 80 cyclists who have put their names on the waiting list to use the facilities.

Kingston Cyclists have complained to South West Trains in the strongest terms asking for action to:

* Issue swipe cards to those who want to use the secure compounds.
* Remove all the abandoned bicycles
* Maintain the compounds by removing the weeds, shrubs and litter.

With lots of spare capacity, why won't SWT let commuters use it?
