Bromley Cyclists Extraordinary General Meeting - Space4Cycling Campaign
The meeting has been arranged in order to confirm the list of 'Asks' for each of the wards in the borough ahead of the 2014 Local Elections Campaign.
Invitations to attend will be sent to all LCC members and other interested parties in Bromley Borough so that we are able to discuss the responses already received via the LCC Survey. These responses have been analysed by the LCC and by us and 'Asks' have been prepared in line with the 6 templates sent to us by the LCC policy forum viz:
<!--[if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->Safer Routes for schoolchildren to cycle to their schools
<!--[if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->Streets without through motor traffic (closing rat-runs)
<!--[if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->Protected space for cyclists on main roads/major junctions
<!--[if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->Safe cycle routes via parks and canals
<!--[if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->20mph (or other safer) speed limits
<!--[if !supportLists]-->6. <!--[endif]-->Liveable town centres
The meeting will confirm the 'ward level asks' for our Borough that will form the basis for the 'Space4Cycling' Campaign across London.
As we are expecting a larger number of attendees than at our usual meetings it will be held at Community House, South Street, Bromley, Kent BR1 1RH .
There will be a number of displays where you can view the 'Asks' for each ward and such material we have already gathered in support of it. You will be able to discuss the 'Ask' with the Bromley Cyclists Team Member who has responsibility for that ward.
At 7.45 pm there will a brief presentation to outline how we are intending to develop our campaign and how you can help us.
At 8.00 pm there will be a Q & A session and the meeting will close at 8.30 pm.
There will be light refreshments.
