Crossness Beam Engines Ride

A ride along the Thames to see Bazalgette's magnificent beam engine in action at the Crossness pumping station. Lovingly restored by an army of volunteers, the machine is set in a museum which has attracted many other steam relics and enthusiasts. Snacks available or bring your own. £5 entry to non members Cutty Sark Gardens 10 A.M start , return via the Lesnes Abbey parkland (you could take a train back to Greenwich from Abbey Wood train station)...
