A c.20 mile round trip at a moderate pace with a couple of hilly sections but mostly using the quieter streets of South East London, today we'll visit a Victorian masterpiece set by the river, Crossness pumping station, architecturally extraordinary and featuring some of the largest beam engines still operating; this place is open rarely and is well worth seeing,  today also featuring a transport theme. We'll have a good look around and then pay a visit to the café, have a riverside ride and make our way back to Brockley by about 1500.
