Dr Bike and Exchanging Places (bike/lorry) at Greenwich Park on Wed 18 Sep 2013
Location: Junction of Blackheath Avenue and Great Cross Avenue
This is part of a series of six Dr Bike events organised by the Royal Parks that will help you keep your bike on the road this autumn.
This event will include:
- 'Exchanging Places': enables cyclists to experience a HGV driver's view of the road and get a better understanding of the blind spots around the vehicle. The purpose is to raise awareness of the dangers of collisions between cyclists and trucks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPkbNFt5NuY
- Dr Bike: free cycle safety check and maintenance advice.
- Cycle security marking: Get your bike registered by the Metropolitan Police to deter thieves and help police and retailers identify stolen bikes.
- Cycling information: free leaflets and advice, including information about considerate cycling in the Royal Parks.
Thanks are due to the Royal Parks Agency, Camden Council and the Metropolitan Police for making this event possible.
Please mention that you saw this event on the LCC website, so we know how many people have seen this listing.
