Guided walk - City of London Passages and Courts
This walk goes around the City of London following narrow and ancient passages. This area has seen much change in recent years but all the rebuilding which has taken place is within the constraints of a medieval street pattern, presenting a challenge to modern architects.
Current cityscapes will contrast with churches, both medieval and Wren (some in ruins), markets, ancient pubs and banks. Despite extensive rebuilding there are all around reminders of fire and blitz and times past. However much it changes, the City remains itself.
This walk is organised by Sustrans, the charity which is enabling people to travel by foot, bike and public transport for more of the journeys we make every day.
