Prepare your pint glass and your traditional Bavarian outfit, the Oktoberfest is coming to London! For the occasion, IBikeLondon is organising another one of its social events on Sunday 6th October. Join us for a fun bike ride along the canal and parks in East London which will end at the official Oktoberfest Festival!

We will be meeting in front of the Pavilion Cafe in Victoria Park (Crown Gate West, E9 7DE) at 10:30am (the nearest tube is Bethnal Green) with the aim to start the ride at 11:00am.  The ride will be flat and covers a distance of 14 miles (23km). The route is mostly traffic free and the pace will be relaxed.

After departing from Victoria Park we will head to the Hertford Union Canal on the East corner of the park. We will follow the canal then river towards the North and go past Hackney Marsh and Lee Valley Park. From there we will cycle back South along the River Lea until Bromley-by-Bow, before heading towards Limehouse. The last part of the route will go through the docks in Isle of Dogs.

Our ride will end at the official Oktoberfest Festival in Millwall Park (Manchester Rd, E14 3AY). We have booked tables for all the riders who want to join us for some well-deserved food and drinks!

Find out more about the route here: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/fullscreen/292052353/

Due to the large size of the group, we estimate that our arrival time in Isle of Dogs will be between 2 and 3pm.
