Infrastructure Safari in Cambridge
This is a ride with the Cycling Embassy of Great Britain. We will be shown around Cambridge by members of Cambridge Cycling Campaign to see the best and worst of cycle infrastructure in their city, and the issues they face in campaigning in the UK's highest cycling city.
Get the 09:45 from Kings Cross to Cambridge (or an earlier train) to meet up at Station Cycles by Cambridge Railway station. The ride will start from there at 10:45. It is possible to hire bikes from Station Cycles (Station Cycles, Station Buildings, Station Road, Cambridge, CB1 2JW).
The ride will be slow, with discussion on the way. It will be 17 miles long, and should finish about 5pm. Weather forecast is dry, temp. -2, so dress up warmly. There are no bike restrictions on the Kings Cross to Cambridge trains.
