Love London, Go Dutch THE BIG RIDE

Just days before the 2012 mayoral election, be part of the UK's biggest ever bike traffic-free ride in support of safe and inviting streets for cycling.
Enjoy this family-friendly event passing some of London's biggest landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament.
We're encouraging a carnival atmostphere, with people dressing up in red and white (our campaign colours), be it fancy dress, banners, flags or anything else we can do to help create a memorable day out.

The Route
Meet on Park Lane (nr Marble Arch) at 11am (for 11.30am start)
Ends at Victoria Embankment, near Blackfriars Bridge, around 1pm.
Feeder rides
LCC local groups and other organisations will put on guided feeder rides from every London borough. See the list of rides here or look at a map with start points (more being added daily).
The more people that join us, the bigger will be the signal we send to the mayoral candidates - that's it's time for radical change in London to redesign busy roads, residential and shopping streets, and major junctions to make them safe for cycling.
And remember, you don’t have to ride the route: you can walk, skate or rollerblade too.
