Simon Yates Mountaineering adventures
Internationally acclaimed mountaineer Simon Yates is one of Britain’s most
accomplished exploratory mountaineers, best known for his role in Joe
Simpson’s book and film, ‘Touching the Void’ - the true story of Simpson's
accident in the Peruvian Andes, and Yates's attempt to rescue him.
Simon’s climbing and travelling has taken him from Alaska to Australia, and
from the Canadian Arctic to the tip of South America.
Simon has written 3 books - all shortlisted for mountain literature prizes. In
his latest book, he relates his own experience of the commercialisation of
Venue: The Gallery, 70 Cowcross St, London EC1M 6EJ
