The London Cycling Projects team at LCC has the experience to design and deliver cycling services for you. We have delivered over 200 events in the last two years and are the capitals experts on getting Londoners cycling.
We work with large landowners, corporates, universities, local government and community groups to design programmes to encourage mass cycling and support community cycling projects.
The Cycling Projects team brings together the mass of cycling knowledge and expertise within LCC and applies it to your organisation. We are happy to discuss your particular needs and how we can help you.
Corporate Clients & Landowners
In 2012 we launched the Bike Station brand with Broadgate Estates – a major commercial landlord in The City. Bike Stations offers a range of activities to encourage new, returning and existing cyclists.
We also offer corporate membership to large organisations to help them develop a cycling culture
Transport for London - Community Cycling Fund for London
LCC were instrumental in setting up this fund back in 2000 and in the formal launch in 2003 with Transport for London as the main funder. The LCC have administered the fund on behalf of TFL since 2007.
The scheme is aimed at grass-roots cycling projects and provides small grants to seed fund sustainable community projects.
In 2011 TfL added events to the CCFL and the LCC have designed, market and delivered events at schools, universities, workplaces, hospitals and communities.
Universities
The Cycling Project team are experts at encouraging cycling amongst university staff and students. We are many universities first choice for providing cycling services at Green Weeks and have several universities as corporate members.
Local Government
LCC have worked closely with borough councils and health authorities to provide events and programmes. Our Active Travel bike loan scheme was launched in 2012 in Greenwich and is showing how to get people cycling within that borough.
Community Groups
We have worked with many community groups to show the appeal of cycling to all Londoners – from the Woman Institute to grass-root community groups. Many of the successful cycling projects and social enterprises across the capital used our knowledge to set-up.
