All our Local Groups, over 30 of them, are run by a volunteer co-ordinator (or jointly in a some instances).
Co-ordinators are individuals who've often been involved with our organisation for several years (although this isn't a requirement!), and have strong connections with local cyclists, community groups, businesses and (not least) councillors.
Through a network of fellow volunteers, co-ordinators organise local rides, events, meetings, campaigns and social events.
We have a full-time member of staff, Amy Summers, whose role as Activism Co-ordinator is to help and support the Local Groups in order to maximise day-to-day campaigning and activism. She also encourages new members and supporters to take action and get involved in our campaigns. This includes directing them to their nearest Local Group.
If you're interested in finding out about local group activities, or volunteering with them, then please get in touch using the links on the left or by emailing email@example.com
As an LCC member, you're automatically a member of our local groups, and you're welcome at any of them so you could be involved with one where you live and one where you work if you choose.
Non-members are encouraged to take part in rides and events too, though if you're a regular, we like it if you join.
