All LCC members are covered by our public liability insurance policy. This means that if you lead a ride, and a fellow rider is injured in some way, then the ride leader can't be made personally liable.
The terms of the insurance policy are:
- All kinds of events, rides or otherwise, are covered;
- Rides and events must be LCC rides and events. The simple way to indicate this is to post the ride or event on the LCC website here;
- LCC members are covered up to £5 million;
- The policy is provided by the Butterworth Spengler insurance group.
