RideLondon is fast approaching and this is major event on the London Cycling Campaign calendar – we need the help of hundreds of volunteers to make this a success. This is a great opportunity to help raise our profile across London and get new people cycling!
Led Ride Marshals – Saturday 9 August
We run led rides to take riders in form nearly every borough to the Freecycle on Saturday. We need volunteers to help marshal these rides on Saturday 9th August. These rides can have up to 150 people on and it is a very positive experience – we know these rides help people take up every day cycling. The rides leave between 8.30 and 11, and return at 3pm. You will need to work on both sets of rides. Some experience of marshalling led rides would be desirable along with having reached level 3 Bikeability. The main role is to work with the ride leaders to ensure the ride is safe and the participants enjoy the experience. If you are thinking of becoming a ride leader it is essential to have plenty experience of marshalling.
Ride 100 - Hampton Court Feeding Station – Sunday 10 August
We need 40 volunteers to help give out food and water to the riders at the London Cycling Campaign stop on the Ride London 100. It is an early Sunday morning shift as it is the first pit stop on the 100 route but it is a great event to be part of. If you can spare 6 hours to help with the event then contact us at email@example.com.
London Cycling Campaign Stand – Green Park – Saturday & Sunday
Volunteers needed to represent LCC and run cycling games on Saturday and Sunday. 4 hours shifts available. If interested, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Everyone who volunteers for us at RideLondon will be entered into a draw to win an entry to next year's Ride 100.
All volunteers will receive a RideLondon volunteer pack and LCC pin badge.
