Architecture Ride: Foster & Partners

Saturday 26th February 2005

Norman Foster's London Buildings

Despite the snow of the preceding days, fifteen people turned up for Barry's ride on a beautiful sunny morning.

We had a leisurely explore of some of London's most exciting new buildings of the last 20 years by Foster and Partners.

Amongst the highlights of the building visits were lunch in the Great Court at the British Museum (see image), and a guided tour of the Asprey store in Bond Street and Canary Wharf Underground station.

We also had a film crew following us in the morning for a promotional film about cycling!

Many thanks to Barry Mason for organising a great ride and Roger Seaward for arranging the Canary Wharf Tour. Thanks also to the staff at Asprey and London Underground for making our visits especially fascinating!
