Campaigns Manager vacancy (Full Time, £37,476 p.a.)
Closing date for applications 5 pm, Wednesday 4th June
The London Cycling Campaign is a successful and ambitious charity, with high expectations. If you are an experienced and creative senior campaigner then you could be just the person we need as our new Campaigns Manager. Matching campaigning ‘nous’ with abundant energy, you will help us build on recent successes and achieve the demanding goals we have set to change the landscape for cycling in London.
About the London Cycling Campaign
With 40,000 supporters (of whom 12,500 are fully paid-up members) and 33 borough groups, London Cycling Campaign is the largest urban cycling organisation in the world. For over 30 years we have campaigned for better provision for cycling in London.
We work to reduce the barriers that prevent people enjoying the freedom and convenience that cycling brings, and believe that making cycling the number one transport choice for everyday, local journeys will generate immense quality of life, environmental, health and economic benefits for the capital.
Our successful Love London, Go Dutch mayoral election campaign two years ago won support at the highest level of politics in London (and resonated far beyond the capital); our current Space for Cycling campaign during this year’s local elections is making even bigger waves, and has been taken up by cycling groups across the country.
About the Role
You don’t need to have prior experience of cycling issues, but you will be capable of taking a brief, and a quick learner. You will also need to demonstrate:
• Extensive campaigns management experience, preferably gained in a supporter-led organisation
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High levels of competency in using digital/social media to promote campaigns
• Creativity in scoping, designing and delivering campaigns
• Familiarity with working with political leaders and decision-makers
This is a full time post based at the London Cycling Campaign office near London Bridge, at a salary of £37,476 p.a. A full job description and person specification downloaded here. Please use the Application Form to apply - CVs will not be accepted.
