The protest is being organised by Donnachadh McCarty and Steve Routley, and is calling for – among other things – cycling organisations to have two members on the Transport for London board, and Dutch levels of expenditure on cycling infrastructure in London.

LCC Chief Executive Ashok Sinha said, "We understand the frustration of Londoners over the conditions for cycling in our city, particularly after the recent avoidable deaths, and we support the rights of cyclists to protest peacefully to improve safety conditions."
