Disability cycling charity manager
Brixton, South London
Wheels for Wellbeing is a disability cycling charity that works to ensure disabled people can enjoy as many, or even greater, benefits from cycling as everyone else.
Our charity has just received a substantial grant, and is looking for a manager able to take us into the next phase of development. The three-year grant will help us get even more disabled people cycling, whether on 2, 3 or 4 wheels, in a park or on the road.
You will develop cycling opportunities for disabled people of all ages and be responsive to our participants’ needs. Working with partners, you will raise the profile of cycling for disabled people. Maintaining an overview of both the cycling world and the disability agenda means you will be able to develop our strategic direction.
You will have responsibility for leading, managing and motivating our paid staff and volunteers so we achieve the organisation’s objectives. You will also be responsible to the trustees for sound financial and resource management.
The closing date for applications is midday, Friday 16 July 2010, with interviews on Tuesday 27 July.
An application pack can be downloaded from http://www.wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk/wfw/index.php/jobs/
