Tube strike - get on your bike

LCC is encouraging everyone who would normally get the tube to avoid the frustrations of the strike and hop on a bike to do their trip rather than get frustrated on a bus or in a car.

“Not only will most people’s journeys be quicker by bike”, says LCC’s Director Peter Lewis, “but people opting for their bike will save money, get fitter and really enjoy their trip”.

“For people travelling longer distances (perhaps over 5 or 6 miles), they might like to think about cycling some of the way – perhaps to the nearest train or bus station”, continues Peter.

“If people are worried about routes, they should contact us”, said Peter. “We have a range of cycle route maps which can help guide people swiftly and pleasantly along quieter back routes, away from the pollution and hustle and bustle of the main roads.
