A William Morris design for wallpaper
N.B. This ride is different to the others we have done so far – you need to register your interest in advance. Please see below for contact details.
This ride will start at The Red House in Bexley at 11am for a guided tour of just over an hour. (£6 entry, National Trust members free).
The maximum number of people on the guided tour is 15 so please let Janet know asap if you want to come.
After the Red House we will be making our way north, either using the Woolwich Ferry or under the Thames at Greenwich, then along some green lanes and up the Lee Valley for an opportunity to see it before the Olympic changes.
Then we use some green lanes and canal paths most of the way up to Walthamstow to the William Morris Museum for 3.30pm or so for a group tour. We will be expected; entrance is free but there is no guided tour.
There’s a café along the canal and we will definitely be stopping somewhere for lunch, whether for a picnic or in a pub. If a picnic, we will stop at a shop along the way to get refreshments.
