The majority of serious and fatal collisions happen at junctions. Email the Mayor and demand safer junctions for London.

Most serious and fatal collisions happen at junctions – fixing them is one of the most important things we can do to make cycling in London safer.

We need to keep this issue in the spotlight so funding is made available and barriers to progress removed, but we need the help of all of our supporters do it.

Ever wondered what the worst junctions in London are for people walking and cycling? Using all the data available to us, the LCC Junctions Map has been created allow you to see just where the most dangerous junctions in your area are.

Why are junctions so important?

Junctions are where almost all cyclist fatalities happen. Many have been known to be dangerous for years without action being taken.

We need to keep this issue in the spotlight so funding is made available and barriers to progress are removed.

When junctions are made safe the pay-back is huge – they unlock miles of new cycle routes and make cycling safer for thousands of people.

Right now, fixing junctions is the most important thing we can do to make cycling in London safer.

What we’re calling for

LCC has identified the London junctions that most need urgent action.

We’re calling on the Mayor, TFL and borough councils to make rapid, temporary improvements; followed by a programme of permanent improvements that comprehensively remove all critical safety failures.
